The most commonly used patio umbrellas are market umbrellas and offset patio umbrellas. These types of umbrellas not only serve the purpose of providing shade excellently, they also make your patio look so beautiful. Most of the patio furniture has ready made holes in them as this is a common type of umbrella placement.
But if your patio floor or furniture has no holes in them, then the offset patio umbrella is a good choice. These types of umbrellas are also known as cantilever umbrellas because they resemble hanging structures that also take on the similar architectural name and have supports at the side and above instead of having a pole directly in the middle like market umbrellas. If you have a hot tub or a huge patio table, these types of umbrellas are an ideal combination as they angle over the tub and table. Offset patio umbrellas give you cool shade without restricting your head room and eye vision. Offset umbrellas give you more flexibility compared to market umbrellas as they can be tilted and turned to face whichever position you want, when the sun is low or high on the bright blue sky.
Patio umbrellas enable you to stay longer in the patio during the day whereas outdoor heaters enable you to stay longer in the outdoors at night.
