yhst-64959371776320_2044_1652996598Everyone likes to sit outside their house to may be enjoy a cup of coffee or dinner or even host a party for friends in their garden or the space that is open, outside the house. This space has to be made comfortable in every respect.

When eats and drinks are served there is a need to have patio umbrellas. There are many types of patio umbrellas to suit the taste of different kind of customers. Generally, in restaurants or beach resorts the market umbrellas are preferred. Unlike the patio umbrellas, these umbrellas do not have valances. However, they have wind vents. The absence of valances makes it easier to sit under an umbrella at a smaller table. Lighting under the umbrella becomes necessary when it starts getting dark at night. A small string of  lights under the umbrella makes it look aesthetically beautiful. Restaurants having this kind of arrangement can pull huge crowds. The tilt series umbrellas are,no doubt adjustable but  they may not be practical. Since they are light they may lack in stability. Besides, constant adjustments may weaken the joints and eventually break. The right kind of umbrella for use outside the house would be the patio umbrella ( which has valances). We must also see whether there is a replacement available for the umbrella fabric. That way the umbrella can be fully utilized.

Outdoor heaters are available in different price range depending on the fuel or energy used. Electric heaters are convenient but too much of energy is used up. The same is the case with gas heaters. Of course, one cannot start thinking too much about energy consumption. If the fuel and energy is not unnecessarily wasted half of our problems will get sorted out.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that we have to look for alternatives. There is one alternative. There are something called chimineas. These are wood burning heaters made from  wood-fired hand- pressed clay. These are the cheapest of all the outdoor heaters. It costs about 50 cents per hour. After being lit they give enough warmth. They have a terracotta look which makes them look nice even when not in use.

Outdoor furniture includes:

•    Garden benches
•    Swings and gliders
•    Rocking chairs
•    Chaise lounges
•    Patio furniture sets
There are many more and the material they are made up of, are also numerous. There are furniture made of aluminum, plastic cane, teak wood and wicker. The wooden furniture need to be varnished from time to time. Teak wood furniture are quite popular as they are durable and need only periodic oiling with teak oil. With proper care teak furniture can last life long. Wicker furniture is also quite popular. They are light and can be moved around as and when required. Cleaning is easy. Only soap and water is needed.

Aluminum garden furniture are sturdy and long lasting though agents like sun tan lotions, perspiration and car exhausts can eat away the powder coating which is protecting the aluminum. To make it last longer this furniture should be cleaned at least once a week with mild cleaning agent and warm water. It should be rinsed properly.

Outdoor wicker is possibly the best amongst all kinds of furniture. It is strong but not heavy like teak furniture. Light brown color wicker looks elegant and natural. They are good for daily use. Rain, frost, sunlight and storm do not adversely affect this kind of furniture. The hand- woven vinyl resin fibers are sturdy.

It is also possible that we already have cane furniture and the weather has adversely affected it. It has started looking quite old. What does one do when this happens. It would probably not be a bad idea to buy  some wicker  wires and cover the existing wooden furniture with this wire .It can be closely woven and we can give a new look to our existing furniture. The personal touch given to the furniture will give us immense pleasure and a sense of satisfaction for having created something new or the old furniture has been given a new look.
